교수, 이야기는 샬럿 브론테(Charlotte Bront?)의 첫 번째 소설로 1857년에 출판되었다. 제인 에어( Jane Eyre)보다 먼저 완성되었지만 많은 출판사에서 거절당했다. 이 책은 1857년 사후에 Charlotte Bront?의 홀아비인 Arthur Bell Nicholls의 승인을 받아 결국 출판되었다.
