1875년에 출판 된 쥘 베른의 소설이다. 베른의 유명한 소설인 “해저 이만리” “ 잃어버린 사람을 찾아서”의 속편이다. 또한 로빈슨 크루소, 보물섬 다음으로 섬에 대한 모험소설이다.
소설은 외딴 태평양 섬에 추락해 해적과 탈출한 죄수들 사이에서 살아남기 위해 고군분투하게 되는데

A novel by Jules Verne, published in 1875. It is a sequel to Bern's famous novels "Two Thousand Lies Under the Sea" and "In Search of the Lost". It is also an adventure novel about the island after Robinson Crusoe and Treasure Island.
The novel crashes on a remote Pacific island and struggles to survive among pirates and escaped prisoners.
