Summary
Mary V turned over the rough paper, so soft it tore at the corners of her fingers, but her next page was blank. She made a suspicious sound like she was snorting and threw her tablet onto the messy table in the bunkhouse. After all, what did she care where Venus and Johnny Jewel were floating? When she knew very well that her place was outside her big ranch she was riding in the sky with Venus, riding a broom tail bronc that she was getting paid (a good salary) for breaking! Mary V thinks she should talk to her father about how Johnny passes the time by writing silly poems about Venus.
