Luzhin tries to frame Sonya for theft to disgrace her, but Raskolnikov and his friends expose his scheme. Meanwhile, Svidrigailov, obsessed with Dunya, attempts to coerce her into marrying him. Dunya resists and, in desperation, fires a gun at him but ultimately spares his life. Realizing he has lost everything, Svidrigailov takes his own life. Witnessing his death, Raskolnikov is forced to confront his own fate. Now, he must decide whether to continue running or to face justice.
