Kim, an orphaned street boy in colonial India, survives using his wit and resourcefulness. He meets a Tibetan Lama searching for enlightenment and decides to accompany him on a spiritual journey. Along the way, Kim encounters spies and British officers who recognize his intelligence and potential. He becomes involved in "The Great Game," a political conflict between the British and Russian empires. Despite his free-spirited nature, he is sent to St. Xavier’s School for formal education. There, he struggles to balance his independence with the expectations placed upon him.
