Michael Strogoff Or, The Courier of the Czar Part 1

The Tsar of Russia dispatches his trusted courier, Michael Strogoff, to Irkutsk to warn his brother, the Grand Duke, of an impending Tartar invasion led by the traitor Ivan Ogareff. Disguised as a merchant, Strogoff embarks on a perilous journey across Siberia, accompanied by Nadia, the daughter of a political exile, and two journalists, Harry Blount and Alcide Jolivet. Along the way, Strogoff's identity is compromised when he reunites with his mother, leading to his capture and torture by the Tartars. Demonstrating resilience and cunning, he escapes and remains steadfast in his mission to deliver the crucial message to Irkutsk.
