The Survivors of the Chancellor: Diary of J.R. Kazallon, Passenger Part 1

The British sailing ship 'Chancellor' departs Charleston on September 27, 1869, bound for Liverpool. Passenger J.R. Kazallon observes the captain's erratic behavior and growing tension aboard. In mid-October, a fire breaks out in the cargo hold, leading the captain to relinquish command to first mate Curtis. As the fire intensifies, the ship runs aground on a reef. Efforts to repair and refloat the vessel fail, and the ship continues to sink, prompting some to attempt escape, resulting in disappearances.
