The Beast Folk live under a strict code known as "the Law," yet their animal instincts resurface, especially after one of them tastes blood, leading to chaos. Dr. Moreau is ultimately killed, and Montgomery spirals into despair, leaving Prendick alone among the reverting creatures. As order collapses, the Beast Folk begin to lose their human traits and return to their primal forms. Prendick survives in isolation, observing their decline while confronting the fragility of identity and civilization. Upon returning to society, he finds himself alienated, realizing that the savagery he witnessed on the island echoes within humanity itself.
