Dorothy and Ozma set out to stop a looming war between the Flatheads and Skeezers in a remote region of Oz. Passing through misty landscapes, a magical tent, and enchanted stairways, they reach a mysterious island. Queen Coo-ee-oh of the Skeezers reveals her magical power, plunging the travelers into deeper troubles. Ozma falls into danger, and Dorothy tries desperately to save her. The conflict between the two magical tribes escalates into a perilous standoff.
