Uncle John is captured by brigands in the remote mountains of Italy, prompting the nieces to take action. A brave local girl named Tato becomes a key ally, and the sinister Count is ultimately exposed. Beth and Patsy use their wits and courage to rescue Uncle John and outsmart their enemies. Tato is adopted into the family, and everyone returns safely home. The second half emphasizes bravery, justice, and the enduring strength of family ties.
