This section recounts the father’s renewed journey to Erewhon. Along the way, he encounters Professors Hanky and Panky, overhears their schemes, and begins to notice the shifting social order. Meanwhile, Erewhon is under the influence of Yram, now the Mayoress, with tensions brewing between her and the professors.
