“짝귀야, 보고 싶구나!”
돌쇠는 마당에 앉아서 따스한 봄볕을 쬐고 있었어요.
“난 옛날처럼 앉은뱅이 그대로란다. 없어진 네 귀 하나는 생겨났냐?”
돌쇠는 바람에 흩날리는 살구 꽃잎을 바라보면서 울먹이고 있었어요.
바로 그 때, 한쪽 귀가 없는 까까머리 아기 중이 나타났어요.
“앗! 짜, 짜…! 짝귀 스님아!”
짝귀와 돌쇠는 서로 부둥켜안고 한참 동안 울었어요.
