Paul arrives in the English countryside and as he spends time with his sister’s children he gradually recovers the imagination and emotional freedom of his childhood, and through their pure and unrestrained perspective he begins to feel that nature is not merely a background but something alive and meaningful, while these experiences lead him to reconsider the social norms and values he had previously accepted without question, and the time he spends in nature along with his emotional connection with the children slowly releases the repression within him and opens new layers of perception and understanding, so that he begins to rediscover the essence of life and the depth of emotion he had lost.
