Wyandotté Or, The Hutted Knoll: A Tale Part 2

As the war reaches the frontier, suspicious armed groups appear around the Hutted Knoll, and Robert returns to his family just as the settlement begins preparing for a possible attack. Maud and Robert gradually become more conscious of their feelings for one another, while Saucy Nick assumes the more dignified identity of Wyandotté and brings valuable information about the enemy, though his old resentment toward Captain Willoughby leaves his loyalty uncertain. When Joel Strides and several settlers desert and join the opposing force, the garrison is drastically weakened and the family finds itself threatened by both betrayal from within and armed enemies outside.
