After Tarzan’s old enemy Alexis Paulvitch returns from Africa and renews his desire for revenge, Tarzan’s son Jack discovers the hidden truth of his father’s jungle past, befriends the great ape Akut, and secretly travels to Africa, where years in the wilderness transform him into Korak, “the Killer.” Fully adapted to jungle life, Korak rescues the abused young Meriem and the two grow inseparable as they survive together, until she is captured and carried away through a succession of dangers involving hostile tribesmen and unscrupulous white adventurers. While Korak desperately searches for her, Meriem is rescued by Bwana and taken into his civilized household, leaving the two separated and uncertain whether they will ever find one another again.
