As Tarzan uncovers Ibn Jad’s true purpose and follows the treasure seekers, Blake becomes caught in the tournaments and warfare between Nimmr and its rival, the City of the Sepulcher, proving himself as a warrior while his love for Princess Guinalda deepens. The Arabs’ search for treasure throws the hidden valley into greater turmoil and Guinalda is carried away, but Tarzan and his golden lion Jad-bal-ja ultimately find and rescue her while greed and betrayal bring Ibn Jad’s expedition to ruin. When the scattered trails finally converge, Tarzan prepares to return to his own country, but Blake chooses instead to ride back to Nimmr and the woman he loves, willingly exchanging the modern world for a life among the surviving knights of the Middle Ages.
